TONE · BRIEF

　

There are four stages in the history of development of human society. They are Primitive Society, Agriculture Society, Industrial Society and Knowledge Society.

The First Modernization is the process and changes of the transition from Agriculture Society to Industrial Society, and Second Modernization is the process and changes of the transition from Industrial Society to Knowledge Society.

In the 20th century, about 50 countries and zones realized the First Modernization. In the 21st century, all the states will reach the shore of the Second Modernization. Modernization is the dream and goal of the Chinese, state, region, enterprises and citizen.

Tone Modernization Club in Beijing (TMC) is the first research and consult unit in China which focus on the strategy of modernization, was founded in June 2000. The talents of Tone come from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), public research institutes, famous Universities and business. Tone does take her best to serve the society and customers for the realization of their aims.

Tone’s Mission

Promote the Second Modernization: Push the progress of the Second Modernization of the world and China, push the modernization of region, firm and person, and push the cooperation between the member.

Serve customer and member sincerely: offer the strategy of modernization and management consultation, etc.

Consult: Assist the customers to make the right choice of the direction, strategy, policy and management of development.

Innovation： Being a global Modernization Club, promoting association and cooperative network of the Second Modernization.

Tone’s Performance

（1）Co-planing of the “National strategic fundamental research plan”, and Ministry of S&T of China had initiated the “National Key fundamental research program” in 1997.

（2）Finished the research report: “Welcome the Era of knowledge economy, and build up the national innovation system” in 1997. Chinese President Jiang Zemin highly appraised it and said: “knowledge economy and innovation spirit is key

issue for the development of China in the 21st century.” Knowledge economy and innovation became hot issue in China in 1998.

（3）Formulated the “ Knowledge Innovation Program” of CAS in 1998.

（4）Provided the advice to many firms on the strategy, project evaluation and invests.

（5）More than 10 years experiences on S&T project management and assessment in CAS.

（6） More than 80 times lectures on knowledge economy, national innovation system and Second Modernization in Beijing University, Tsinghua University, CAS, Development Bank of China, Beijing , Tianjing and other cities since 1998. More than 12 newspapers report our works in China.
